Texas Roadhouse - Customer Service and quality of food

I went to Texas Roadhouse on January 9, 2026. It was not crowded, but I had to wait to be seated.

Once I was seated I had to ask the hostess twice for a server. Once my server arrived I informed her I had been waiting for a while and i was ready to place my order. I proceeded to order a 12 ounce ribeye with a salad and bake potato. It took a while for the food to come out.

Once I received my food I noticed the steak was mostly fat. I informed the server and she sent the manager. I believe his name was Jason or Jamie. I explained to him my concern regarding my fatty steak.

He proceeded to tell me thats how they received the steaks and he had no control of what comes from the cow. I was taken back with his rude attitude. I continued to explain how it wasnt acceptable to serve a fatty steak. He asked me what did I want he to do.

I said nothing if all the steaks come that way. I asked for another manager and no other manager was there. He did not apologize for the poor quality of the steak. He disappeared and my server said he took 13.00 off my 23.00 dollar steak.

That being said, I will never patronize Texas Roadhouse again. I will also tell all friends and family as well as post my experience on every social media site I can.

I'd had so much to say but lost for words. I used to work for Texas Roadhouse in Butler, PA but I don't anymore.

I don't understand stand why he had to delete thing at the corporate office but it was Josh coburn. So why is he trying to cover up stuff that he has done. Kelly put in a raise the sent it in. So why the short change on my dollar raise but probably put on his salary.

I've felt none but hate from him since he was a kitchen manager but senior now. He always adjusting number after pitzer put them in so he can get is bonus but witch is ripping you he's been doing it for years. Now I say it because I'm cleared on my mental health. I go to the care center but go because of how I was treated at that Texas Roadhouse.

I loved working there. My phone was and had been messed with since my first opening because randy Boss gave me his number. When they ask me what I wanted to do is get the people ready for there first day by themselves but also be like randy Boss. They found out them never moved me up and always scheduled me the worst guy to train before it was in talk of me doing openings again.

I'm my report at the care center it will talk about what I went through on my first opening after randy Boss and Lisa lefted for a few days. I don't understand how he can be still working there when no one comes back to visit or even want to work. He was my best friend my little brother like kelly Huffman and Randy Boss. I will never come back because of him and it's not live a Texas Roadhouse culture there till additude change.

They are funny suckers.

I hope you take what I have to say and not just throw it to the side. O he gets rid of people with mental health or won't hire one

Good day I wanted to write you and hopefully get this off my chest so I can get this behind me. Texas Roadhouse is a big thing for us and a tradition for my daughter.

We dont go out very often because we are missionaries. Our disposable income is much lower than most families. On my daughters birthday every year this is the one thing that she chooses every year. This year was the big sixteen.

A milestone for her and she was so excited to do her annual pilgrimage to the Texas Roadhouse. We planned the day around when you opened, and we thought we would go from there. We thought we would get there early seeing as it was on a Sunday, and we knew it would be packed later in the day.

We arrived just after 3 pm and were seated in under a minute. The section we were sat in was empty, but over the next 10 to 15 minutes all the tables were full.

Our waitress was pleasant. We ordered a cactus blossom, our drinks and ordered our food. This is where the day went from a great day to the lore of nightmares that you share on worst dining experiences of all time.

We waited for our food just enjoying the day with our daughter and her friend. The wait was long, but we expected that.

Then the people that came in well after us get their food and it looks like you would expect it, hot and looking like every time we have been there in the past. Then about 15 minutes after that while all of the tables around us had already received their food. A lone plate shows up a Dallas Filet that was supposed to be medium rare. You know when a steak shows up and it is sizzling or looks edible, and then there is when you bring leftovers home, and the next day you take it out of the fridge, and it has that dull look from being cold.

Well, that is how this looks. This showed up for my daughter's friend. Not the whole meal, just a steak that looked dead. They wanted to wait for the rest of our food to be brought out before starting to eat.

Not our waitress but another lady brought it and said the rest would be out shortly. Our waitress shows up a couple minutes later and asks how our meal went because we only had one plate on the table. We said we never got it. The table around us were now getting their to go boxes.

She said she was going to fix it right now. True to her words, five minutes later she comes back with our food and my heart sank. My daughter who order her Dallas Filet also and my sirloin came and they all looked cold and dead. I asked my daughter's friend to cut his steak open.

The medium rare one. It was dark brown, beyond well done. I asked my daughter to cut hers open who ordered medium like myself. It was dead, you folks serve big serrated sharp knives, and she was sawing through it like cordwood.

Our waitress was like I'll fix this ill fix this, you cant eat those. Do you want to cut yours open? I told her at this point I'm afraid to. Trying to be lighthearted about it.

It was so overcooked and cold too. Just like everything else that came out. She said she would go fix it right now. My daughter was left to her mashed potatoes and her cheese fries.

Again, when you bring leftovers home and then open them the next day and microwave or throw them in the heater. This is what her fries were like. She was going to have to cut them cold fries up to get them apart. She ate her mashed potatoes.

About 45 minutes later a guy shows up with a single steak and says it's a refill, we explained what happened and he looked confused and left with the steak. A guy in red shirt comes up and asks how are meal was and I explained how we still haven't even got our steaks yet with the rest of the story. Our waitress comes back and asks how our new steaks were. Where I had to tell her, they never came.

10 minutes later a sirloin came out, I started to give it to my daughter who an hour and a half into this was no longer even hungry. Trying to keep tears out of her eyes. Then I remember that I had the sirloin, and she had the Dallas Filet. The super-duper expensive Dallas Filet.

I took my steak and ate it while trying not to have my head pop off. My blood pressure was through the roof at this point. My sweet sixteen still hasnt got her one thing she asked for her birthday. Her Dallas Filet.

A few minutes later red shirt guy pops up with a steak, and says I got a sirloin here. I tell him it was supposed to be a Dallas filet. Just give it to her because we are just going to leave. We give up we cant go on like this.

He sets the sirloin down and leaves. My daughter cuts her well done sirloin steak open, not the medium Dallas Filet she ordered, and we just pay the bill and leave. So, my daughter's birthday which I told them, and they do the song every year never happened and her entire meal for the night was a few pieces of cactus blossom and a small, mashed potatoes.

I'm going to have to surmise that what happened was our order was filled like it should have been and never brought to our table for another 45 minutes in the beginning because all of our food was cold and rubbery, and thats before everything else went so terribly wrong.

Im sure my grammar and some of my writing is barely coherent but as I am writing to you this the next morning my blood pressure while writing this is back up. This failed to live up to the minimal standard of any restaurant.

I'm 55 and by far this takes the cake on the absolute worst dining experience of my life and to top it off it was my child's 16h birthday. It was a huge day for us, and now it will be a story we tell for generations.

Not a happy customer at all, I believe the woman from support should have said to me, what can we do the rectify this, but she didn't.. what ever happened to customer is always right.

If she would've said to me how can we make you a happy custmer I would've said give me another meal, but she didnt. So I do not believe I am going to be reimbursed for my 100.82 meal

I ordered online to order porterhouse steak meals, and both were supposed to well done and they were both bloody rare. The manager was no help at all the email she gave me didn't work so I could send the pics of the steak.

I WANT to be compensated for my 100.00 meals. ASAP. Very disappointed customer!! And we ordered a week ago the same meals and they were perfect.

I'm sorry to need to hire better cooks that know what they are doing.

I went to Texas Roadhouse in College Station off University last night, and the food was at the wrong temperature. The boneless wings were cold, my salad was room temperature, and the steak I asked for was well done, but it was given back raw.

So, I had to take it to leave. I spoke with the manager, and she was very nonchalant about the situation, so I just left and told her that I would be getting in contact with corporate.

Didn’t give me my money

Everything was going good until they bring me my food out. I had ordered a steak with green beans and something else. I cant remember but as I was eating my steak, I found a hair in my food and I called the server over and I told them that it was a hair in my food. They told me they couldnt give me my money back why I dont understand they couldnt give me my money back, but I paid my money so therefore it was a bad experience and that was the first time I ever went there I am still not waiting for a refund after all that time and I still havent got my money back I have called the one 800 number.

I have called the store back and its still nothing. It was a horrible horrible birthday so thats my reveal

Tried to call to discuss with manager however, at 9:30pm they are not answering their phones, yet another issue.

This restraunt has a SEVERE SEWING LEAK in the parking lot which smells awful!

For what we just paid for dinner for a family of 8 its embarrassing the poor service we had and no sign of management anywhere to be seen. Yes, a busy night and I get issues but this was uncalled for and awful!

-Wont waste out time or money again this restraunt! I would like a call back and reply from the District/Area Manager so our concerns can be addressed promptl.

Me, my wife and my brother in law went in tonight. I ordered the fried catfish with two sides. My brother in law ordered the steak and shrimp with a salad. My wife ordered the chicken fritter salad.

I knew I shouldve waited to eat my meal however, my wife talked me out of it. Me and my brother-in-law finished our meals completely, and my wife still had not had her salad. The server was advised along with a manager at the time of advisement. I still had approximately half a plate.

They did remove the salad from the bill. My wife is much better than me because I wouldnt have paid the bill at all.

I can see at the fried fish or the steak didnt come, but the salad.

Unreal.

It will be a while before my next visit. A long while.
